Rochester’s favorite waterfront restaurant features lunch, dinner and late night. And on August 10, we host Todd East!
Todd East has created a stellar career and is highly recognized in the music industry. Blind since birth, he began playing piano and singing at the age of three and initiated his professional career at the age of 15. After high school, this native of Marion, NY, continued his education, graduating from Nazareth College with degrees in Music Education and Music Theory. As a master of the piano, with vocal skills reminiscent of Stevie Wonder, Todd is a highly sought after artist. Over the last 40 years, Todd has built a massive fan base in Rochester, NY. He returns from his home in North Miami, Oklahoma several times a year to perform and record as part of the Rochester music community.
Todd has substantial credits for his commercial work in television and radio. He performs regularly at many Hard Rock Cafés and casinos in the Midwest. Some highlight performances include appearing with world renown conductor, Jeff Tyzik, and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.
Todd has made special appearances at Foxwood’s Casino in Connecticut and the Lionel Hampton Jazz Club in Paris, France, with Prime Time Funk. Todd has shared the stage with The Brothers Johnson, Chubby Checker, Dave Koz, Joe Sample, Larry Carlton, and Blues artist, Sherman Robertson.
Todd is a versatile musician, well-suited to perform with any size band or ensemble. If you are looking for something more intimate, Todd does solo performances that will elevate your event or party to a truly memorable level. Nigri: Served as a delicate sushi rice ball, topped with a thin slice of fish. Nigri is frequently but not always served raw. Whether served with shellfish, fish or other toppings, Nigri is often ordered by those who enjoy the full flavor of the fish with which its paired.
Tempura: Tempura sushi is a favorite for many who are new to sushi. Since tempura contains no raw fish, many find this a more attractive “first try”. Tempura is also deep fried.
Sashimi: Sashimi is served as thin-sliced fish or shellfish only. No rice.
Uramaki: While many other sushi rolls are prepared with rolled rice and seaweed on the exterior, Uramaki often has seaweed as part of the roll interior and rice as the final layer.
